Apple’s user forums are littered with complaints that its iPad Pro Smart Keyboard (in both 9.7 and 12.9” models) suffers from sticky keys and connector issues. The result is that Apple has extended the warranty to three years.

Apple introduced a 12.9” iPad Pro with optional Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard – it’s a lovely, well made iOS tablet. Microsoft introduced the updated 12” Surface Pro 4 and the 13.5” Surface Book – again lovely, well, made Windows hybrid 2-in-1 tablets.

Apple CEO Tim Cook, under public scrutiny for his iPad Pro as a PC replacement remarks, has done a fair bit of defensive back tracking and side-stepping recently.
